Most noted for his masterful skill as a lithographer, he used shadow and light to illustrate the urban views in New York, and regional landscapes in New England, especially Maine. Highly regarded, his lithographs have been acquired by numerous major museums and public collections, including the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Whitney Museum of American Art, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Metropolitan Museum of Fine Art, and many more. After moving from the metropolitan New York area, he settled in Rockport, Massachusetts.
